The holidays are so rushed and busy, which is part of the reason that I'm not a fan of them. Three birthday, Christmas, and New Years. I just want the quiet of January please!

It's funny how fast life can change. All it takes is under a minute, and everything is different. Your life swings off tilt and you are suddenly presented with a whole new set of options. You have a whole new set of eyes to look through. You are awake later. You take more naps. You start to learn who you are without everything that you thought made you who you were.

are the pre-Friday. I have a fairly busy weekend coming up. In all honesty, I just want to sleep. This is probably what my Sunday will be dedicated to. Sleeping. And reading. Work has quieted down, which is nice. So it's not work that's making me tired. I just want more sleep. Or actually, more relaxation. I need to figure out how to relax and de-stress. That would be fantastic.

After a lot of debate, I've decided to open up my blog. I deleted all the old stuff, and am restarting it. I am going to share little pieces of my life that I don't normally get to with people. I'm starting off with my garden. Just a couple pictures. I am in love with it. It's truly a form of therapy for me. People give me plants this time of year, because they know how much I love gardening. So here are a few pictures of the very small garden I have going right now...

We often like to "put people in their place" since we honestly don't want them to be "out of place". It's for their own good, right? We care about them and simply don't want them in the wrong place. The problem is that putting people properly in their place is dependent upon us knowing where people's proper places are. How can we be absolutely sure that we are putting people in the right place? What if we are putting them in a place where they will get lost or hurt?

The Wise Turtle believes that the only way to know where to put people is to ask them where they would like to be, and then help them find a way to get there. They may only have a vague sense of where they want to be, but they pretty much always have at least some idea. And once they get near the place they belong, they will be able to see very clearly exactly where they need to go.

And because it's important to care about ourselves as well as others, we also might want to ask ourselves what place we might like to be in, and then ask others to help us get there!
